National Professional Qualifications (NPQs)

The trust is proud to partner with LMP Education who offer a comprehensive NPQ training and development programme designed to empower your leadership skills and propel your career forward.
This includes experienced leaders in senior positions and those who already hold specialist area positions.

Leadership NPQs

Successful senior leaders need a well-rounded view of school leadership, going beyond just current areas of responsibility. Each NPQ allows you to fill any knowledge gaps and is vital preparation for moving into both senior and strategic roles.

We encourage both current and aspiring leaders to apply for their chosen NPQ programme.

Continous Professional Development (CPD)

We enlist expert-led online CPD platforms that can be accessed by our whole trust workforce.
The platform enables our employees to take ownership and accountability for their own professional development by browsing and filtering through thousands of titles to drill down and find the professional development they need, for the right role, in the right area.

Collaboration Communities

Alongside internal networks, we have access to CST’s Professional Communities who offer targeted support for school trust colleagues working in specialist areas. They provide unique opportunities for networking, peer-learning and the sharing of expertise through regular virtual meetings and annual in-person events.

Mentoring and Coaching

Leadership mentoring is important for several reasons, both for the new deputy and/or headteachers (mentees) and the school as a whole.

We also offer ‘Headspace’, our coaching development programme for new headteachers and SENCOs which focuses on empowering the individual to find their own solutions.
